The following information has been taken from Hal Lindsey's home page:

08/11/01 Yasser Arafat responded quickly to Israel's occupation of Orient House in Jerusalem. Arafat has maintained Orient House as the unofficial headquarters of his Palestinian Authority for seven years, in spite of his written promise to the contrary contained in the Oslo agreement -- an agreement he presumably read before signing. The Israelis forbade PA official offices in Jerusalem as a condition of Oslo -- a condition Arafat promptly violated and then continued to ignore until the Israelis got tired of complaining and relented. The Israelis closed it finally in response to ten months of terror -- something Arafat also renounced at Oslo --and Arafat is taking his case to the international community. His argument is that Israel is violating Oslo. Don't expect anybody to dust off the Oslo Agreement to see what it says. Just watch how quickly the international community joins Arafat's bandwagon. This is about Jerusalem, as it has been from the get-go. Exactly as Zechariah said it would be in the last days when he wrote; "And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it." Zechariah 12:2
Arafat Strikes Again 08/12/01 While the world continues in its condemnation of Israel for seizing control of PA controlled offices in Jerusalem as a measure to prevent the PA from using them to stage further attacks, another suicide bomber struck a coffee shop in Kriyat Motzkin, just north of the port city of Haifa. Late breaking reports from Yahoo's news service say there were as many as thirty-six wounded in the attack. CNN and the BBC put the casualty count at 20. Either way, keep in mind that when someone is 'wounded' in a bombing attack, it can mean anything from minor cuts and burns to having limbs ripped clean off."

I would ask each of you to keep this situation in prayer.

I would also like to ask each of you to keep the Christians who are in Afganistan in prayer. There are several Christians there who are being put on trial by the Taleban for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, while the world stands idly by. If convicted, these Christians could face death for spreading the news of a loving Savior. Please keep them in prayer!

Thank you and God Bless!
